No, this isn’t new, either. It’s part of a ongoing series of paintings and drawings depicting simply drawn figures – men and women – interacting, as they are known to do.

Nor is the jumbled quote based on Shakespeare, although everyone attributes the original to him. The actual author of ‘Oh what a tangled web we weave’ is Sir Walter Scott, from Marmion.
